In this workshop Bill and Annie will look at language and communication in the yoga sphere.

Bill - Lecturer of Communication to RMIT Osteopathy students & President of Osteopathy Australia -  will provide background on the impact of communication on people's perceptions of how their bodies work, analyse the nature of pain, placebo/nocebo and how language affects them. 

From that platform, with Annie's guidance, attendees will then workshop what this looks like in the yoga industry and explore how we could make yoga more accessible and beneficial through our language choices.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who works with bodies and is interested in the impact their language has on people.

This workshop will explore some of the claims made, and advertising used in yoga and explore the impact selling 'health' can have.
